CHASING DREAMS is an original song written by LITO- bass player for the group LA, and features young guitarist AKATAPU. This song was recorded LIVE at Mama Matas’ in Rarotonga, Cook Islands. In my aging mind, I can “feel” this songs’ movements to mirror some of the old ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND sounds through the drums, and guitar-bass exchanges and passages. Although this dynamic-duo is ONLY two pieces vs 6-8 that the ALLMAN BROTHERS HAD, not including fact that legendary guitarists Duane Allman and Dickie Betts comprised their lineup and this young guitarist was only born in 2005- Yet this short piece allows you to Chase Your DREAMS for a while!
KUTSILYO (translated from Filipino/Tagalog means KNIFE). This original composition by AKATAPU connects and crosses over Spanish Flamenco, Gypsy music, modern- progressive-alternative and classic Rock.
